El Paso County, Colorado. September 6, 2024 – The El Paso County Board of County Commissioners are seeking a community-minded citizen volunteer to serve on the Board of Adjustment. Applications for the open position are due by September 27, 2024.

The Board of Adjustment is currently seeking several members.

The Board of Adjustment hears and decides issues of variance related to the County’s Land Development Code. Variance requests may include changes to physical dimension, structural location, bulk limitation, or other development requirements. The Board also hears Appeals of Administrative Decisions or Determinations on dimensional standards. The Board consists of 4 Regular members and several Associate members who vote on a rotating basis. Regular members are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for three-year terms; Associate members are appointed for one-year terms. At the term’s expiration, Regular and Associate members may apply for reappointment in accordance with BoCC rules and procedures.

Board of Adjustment meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the Regional Development Center, 2880 International Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
